If I thought I loved the South before, man was I sure wrong. This past weekend has pretty much solidified that I will be in fact moving to somewhere in the South after college.
Now what happened this weekend you may ask? I went to Ozark, Arkansas for the first annual Thunder on the Mountain. This is a country music festival that is basically in comparison to Country Thunder but with a few headliners and more-so smaller country bands that are big in their own way. In shortened terms: I will be returning. It was that amazing. Sure it included camping, drinking and not being able to shower for 3ish days (gross). But I also met some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I can't even put into words of everything that happened, so I'm just going to let the pictures do the talking.
Set line-up included: Big & Rich, JJ Lawhorn, Easton Corbin, Montgomery Gentry, Luke Bryan, Randy Houser, Randy Rogers Band, Stoney LaRue, Aaron Watson, Justin Moore, Reckless Kelly, Brandon Jenkins, Josh Abbott Band and so, so much more.
Needless to say, I have a lot of music to be adding to my iPod.
I recommend for everyone to check it out next year. I've never even been to Country Thunder; but I just have a feeling that this is extremely better. Now all I have to do is find out which friends would want to join me! Shouldn't be too hard right?
